Meet Pole Gear NZ's Owner, Megan Harris
I started pole about 7 years ago, more out of curiosity than anything. I was heading for my mid 30's with 2 small children and exercise was not my main focus. However, I was intrigued about spinning around a pole for fun. I had no background in dance or gymnastics, and besides a bit of walking, my fitness level was zero! I thought to myself - what the hell, what do I have to lose!
This passion as seen my pole journey grow from one class a week, to a pole at home, to teaching, to now being the proud owner of Pole Gear NZ.
The decision to purchase Pole Gear NZ was a no brainer. It is no secret that pole and all things related become an addiction, you are hooked from the moment you nail your first spin. I grabbed the opportunity to own a business that not only provides awesome pole gear but also be involved in supporting and promoting the pole industry. I was so excited to be able to take that next step in an industry that I am so passionate about.
The Polegasm Subscription Box
Megan had taken inspiration from her customers and had floated the idea of launching a quarterly subscription box to her VIP customers. They were extremely excited by this concept and loved the surprise of unboxing a gift of pole confidence. There is nothing like new pole wear to activate those superpowers to enable you to do the thing. To set these Polegasm boxes apart - boxes were carefully chosen to cater to those of all sizes; those who like a little more coverage (Sporty Box) to feel at there best and those that like to flaunt what they have (Spicy Box) to give catalyst to that sexy and I know it feeling to come alive.
Each box has a gorgeous pole set/one piece, and a carefully selected self care item. Megan asked Lusid to collaborate for a self care item for the first Polegasm box. We selected our Lusid Smoothing Serum, it's one of my favourite Lusid products and it is suitable for all hair types; so a great fit for the Polegasm box. Not only is it silicone free but it is plastic free too!
